When you start out in photography, you are very often overwhelmed by the number of cameras and associated accessories that exist. Choosing your camera gear is clearly one of the most important topics to consider if you want to take a great picture. In this page I will talk about the choice of photo equipment and accessories available. If you want to know which camera to choose, how to choose a lens, which tripod to start with, how to use a polarizing filter, look no further, all will be explained in detail here!
Choosing your camera gear

Making the right choice will depend on several things: whether you have a limited budget, your needs (what type of photo you want to shoot), whether you want to focus on a large sensor (Full Frame) or an aps-c, etc. In short, you will need to ask yourself a whole bunch of questions.
In this section, I will mainly talk about DSLR cameras, as they are the ones I know best. Depending on the article and the subject matter, I might talk about hybrids, compact digital or bridge. This section of the photo blog will be divided into two distinct parts: on the one hand how to choose your photography equipment available and on the other hand all about camera accessories.
This section will focus on giving advice on the choice of camera equipment, essentially on two specific points: the digital camera and its lens (or lenses). Even when only looking at a camera, many questions arise: which camera to choose? How to choose your camera? Where to buy your camera? Should I choose a hybrid or DSLR? What are the best digital cameras for my needs? In order to learn photography, do I really need a 30 megapixel SLR camera? How do I choose the camera best suited to me? Wouldn’t a compact camera be enough for me in the end? Which one do I choose as a first camera: a Nikon DSLR or a Canon DSLR? Do I need a large viewfinder? A touch screen? Adjustable? I haven’t even mentioned the difference between full frame and aps sensor yet… In short you, you see what I mean don’t you…
For the choice of lenses available, it’s almost the same thing: How do I choose a camera lens? Do I need a fixed focal length? A versatile zoom? What is the focal length and how do I choose between a 35mm, 50mm, 100mm, 200mm, or 300mm? Does my budget allow me to choose a stabilized lens? Is a large aperture necessary? Which wide-angle lens do I choose for landscape photography? And for macro, what do I need? Which focal length do I choose for wildlife photography?Do I need a telephoto lens for travel photography? The questions are endless….
The second category in this page will focus on your choice of camera accessories. If you decide to buy a digital DSLR camera, bear in mind that adding accessories to your camera bag will quickly become very useful. You can’t buy everything, but there are some very important gadgets that you shouldn’t do without. To mention just a few; tripod, polarizing filter, grip, camera bag,
In the end, we come to the realization that choosing a camera or a lens is not as simple as it first seemed, don’t you agree? To begin with, there is probably no point in investing in very expensive equipment. I started with a low end DSLR (500D) and an 18-55mm in my kit. Now, a few years later, I am using a 6D.
I wish you good luck with your discoveries,
