Fujifilm X-T5 vs X-E5

Introduced in June 2025, the Fujifilm X-E5 modernizes the lineup following the success of the X-E4. It combines a retro-inspired look with the latest hardware: a 40.2 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor stabilized on 5 axes and the powerful X-Processor 5. This ensures crisp images, excellent dynamic range, and highly detailed RAW files. Its sensitivity runs from ISO 125 to 12,800, expandable to ISO 64–51,200, while continuous shooting reaches 8 fps mechanically or 13 fps electronically. For video, it supports 6.2K 30p or 4K 60p (with crop).

Fujifilm has refined the ergonomics without compromising compactness. A reworked grip, 3-inch tilting LCD, and 2.36M-dot OLED EVF improve everyday usability. A dedicated film simulation dial now allows direct access to 20 Fujifilm color profiles, including Classic Chrome, Acros, and Reala Ace. At only 445 g including battery, the X-E5 is an excellent companion for travel, street shooting, or reportage—especially when paired with the compact XF 23 mm f/2.8 R WR pancake lens.

More than a refresh, the X-E5 delivers the style of the X100VI with the flexibility of the X-mount system.
