Hello again from the Seychelles! After giving it some thought and receiving several requests, I realized that I should write a complete guide to the best hotels in the Seychelles. This archipelago in the middle of the Indian Ocean is, of course, an ideal destination for a dream vacation. With its white-sand beaches, coconut palms, crystal-clear waters and lush vegetation, it truly is the perfect place to escape! If you are currently planning your trip to the Seychelles, I suggest reading Aurélie’s articles on the three main islands: Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, which she was lucky enough to discover during her honeymoon. These really are the three must-see islands!
Of course, the aim of this article is to introduce you to the best accommodation on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, as well as on smaller islands such as Cerf Island, Silhouette Island and others. As usual, I have relied on feedback from friends who have had the chance to stay in the Seychelles, while also carrying out my own research. In other words, I hope this article will make planning your vacation a little easier!

Staying in the Most Beautiful Parts of Mahé Island
Let’s get down to business! As you might imagine, Mahé is the island where you will find the widest choice of high-end accommodation. It is also the liveliest island, especially in the north near Victoria. If you are looking for somewhere quieter and more family-friendly, the south of Mahé is generally a better option.
Four Seasons Resort Seychelles
This is the most upscale hotel you will find on Mahé. It is located directly on the beach at Petit Anse, in Lazare Bay. You can also enjoy breathtaking ocean views while surrounded by tropical vegetation. This property does not simply offer luxury rooms; it offers entire villas with private terraces and swimming pools. Facilities include a spa, two outdoor pools, a well-equipped gym, three restaurants and a pavilion dedicated to water sports, which is a real advantage in my opinion. In short, this hotel is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Seychelles while relaxing in an exceptionally luxurious setting.
Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa
This beautiful luxury hotel is located on Beau Vallon, a lovely beach in northern Mahé, and offers stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The rooms are spacious and equipped with high-quality amenities. With a spa, gym, infinity pool and several restaurants, everything is in place for an exceptional stay. In my opinion, this hotel promises a luxurious experience in a remarkable setting.
Constance Ephelia
If you have already started your search, you may well have come across Constance Ephelia. Quite simply, it is one of the most famous hotels on the island, and for good reason—it is easy to see why. The property offers beautiful luxury suites and villas with mountain or ocean views. The setting is simply incredible! There are also six restaurants, five bars and several boutiques. Whether you are traveling with family or friends, there is something for everyone. If you are looking for a luxurious stay in northern Mahé, this outstanding hotel is definitely an excellent choice.

L'Escale Resort Marina & Spa
This beautiful five-star resort is close to the airport and the beaches of Anse Bernik and Anse Bigorno. It offers modern, spacious rooms with sea or mountain views, as well as an infinity pool. There is also a spa, a gym and, above all, a restaurant with a very good reputation. Based on the feedback I have received, this hotel genuinely lives up to its five-star rating. The location is also ideal, as you will be right beside the marina, which is particularly convenient if you are planning a cruise to the other islands. In short, this hotel should meet your expectations if you are looking for an exclusive stay with first-class service.
Hillcrest Villas
As the name suggests, Hillcrest Villas is a luxurious villa surrounded by a tropical garden and offering breathtaking ocean views. But that is not all. If you choose this villa, you will also enjoy an outdoor swimming pool and a full range of modern amenities. In short, the property is spacious and beautifully appointed, with a large kitchen, several living areas and a well-equipped gym—perfect for staying active, haha. Unsurprisingly, this luxury villa is very popular with groups of friends and families.
Chateau Elysium
We end this selection of the best accommodation on Mahé with Chateau Elysium. This charming colonial-style chateau offers seven rooms, each with its own private terrace and views of either the mountains or the ocean. You will have direct access to Beau Vallon Beach, where you can go scuba diving and discover the local marine life, including manta rays, colorful fish and coral reefs. If you are looking for a stay that combines authenticity, tranquility and excellent facilities, Chateau Elysium is a very appealing choice.

La Digue: Tranquility and Authenticity in the Seychelles’ Best Hotels
After exploring the two most visited islands in the Seychelles, we now arrive on La Digue. This more secluded island paradise, where there are no cars and most journeys are made by bicycle, is definitely worth visiting. If you are planning to explore this little corner of paradise, do not miss Anse Source d’Argent Beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I have also put together a selection of the six best places to stay on La Digue.
La Digue Luxury Beach & Spa
Located near the magnificent Anse La Réunion Beach, this beautiful four-star hotel promises an unforgettable luxury stay. With a modern gym and spa, everything has been designed for a relaxing vacation. The air-conditioned rooms are fully equipped, and some offer sea or mountain views. As an added bonus, the location is ideal, right beside the famous Anse Source d’Argent Beach. La Digue Luxury Beach & Spa is genuinely one of the finest hotels on La Digue.
Domaine de L'Orangeraie Resort and Spa
Discover this luxury hotel on Anse Sévère Beach. Here, you can choose from four luxury villas, all offering modern amenities, private gardens and private pools. In my opinion, this property promises a truly luxurious stay.
Nautique Waterfront Hotel La Digue
Nautique Waterfront Hotel is an excellent four-star property offering high-quality service. In addition to its comfortable rooms and exceptional setting, guests regularly praise the warm welcome provided by the staff. Do not hesitate to ask them for advice, as they will be happy to help. You will also be close to Anse La Réunion and Anse Sévère beaches, which I am told are both excellent places for diving and snorkeling, so remember to pack your mask and fins!

Le Repaire - Boutique Hotel & Restaurant
Located directly on the beach, this property is ideal for a postcard-perfect getaway. From what I have heard, Le Repaire is best known for its warm and relaxing atmosphere. Each room is modern and tastefully decorated. Even though you are on the other side of the world, you will quickly feel at home. The hotel’s restaurant is another highlight, combining Italian and Seychellois cuisine, and it is well worth trying.
La Digue Emerald Villa
If you are looking for a dream experience, La Digue Emerald Villa could be the perfect choice. This magnificent property is set in the heart of a tropical garden beside the sea. It features a Jacuzzi, a hot tub, a swimming pool, family rooms and much more. Just imagine enjoying this accommodation with your family or friends. One thing is certain: you will remember the experience for a very long time.
Villa Source D'Argent
I could not introduce you to the best accommodation on La Digue without mentioning this villa. As its name suggests, it is only a stone’s throw from the sublime Anse Source d’Argent Beach. And that is not all. Guests can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool, a local breakfast and comfortable rooms, all in a friendly atmosphere. Whether you are traveling as a couple, with family or with friends, you are sure to enjoy your vacation at Villa Source d’Argent.
That concludes my selection of the best hotels on La Digue. If you would like more details and additional accommodation ideas for this island paradise, I have written a complete guide to accommodation on La Digue.
The Most Exclusive Accommodation on the Smaller Islands of the Seychelles
We now come to the best places to stay on the smallest islands in the Seychelles archipelago. This section will be particularly useful for anyone hoping to get off the beaten track and discover some of the most remote and exclusive islands. I will let you explore the selection of outstanding accommodation available on each one.
Cerf Island
On Cerf Island, just a few minutes by boat from Mahé, you can stay at the Cerf Island Resort. This beachfront hotel is ideal if you are looking for a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of Mahé. You will also be only a few yards from an excellent snorkeling and diving spot. And do not forget the two infinity pools and the spa, which are perfect for moments of complete relaxation.
Curieuse Island
To tell you the truth, there are no hotels on Curieuse Island. However, there is no need to worry, as a day trip is all you need to explore this beautiful island. I recommend staying in northern Praslin, around Anse Volbert, directly opposite Curieuse Island. This makes the 15-minute boat journey to the island much more convenient.
Silhouette Island
The name may not immediately sound familiar, but Silhouette is the third-largest island in the Seychelles archipelago. The best hotel on the island is undoubtedly the renowned Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa. It offers villas measuring 100 square meters or more, all equipped with high-end amenities. If you are looking for an exclusive and unique experience on Silhouette Island, this five-star hotel is sure to make your dreams come true.
Desroches Island
Next, let’s head to Desroches Island, around 40 minutes by plane from Mahé. This little slice of paradise is a wonderful final stop on a trip to the Seychelles. You can enjoy a peaceful getaway and recharge your batteries before heading home. When it comes to accommodation, the choice is simple, as the island is home to just one option: the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles. Rest assured, the reviews are unanimous: this luxury property is ideal for an excellent stay on the island. Guests can choose from a range of villas, each featuring a private pool, tropical garden, ocean views and much more.
Cousine Island
Located 6 km from Praslin, Cousine Island is a small private island that feels like a genuine tropical paradise. With its endless beaches and tropical forests, it is easy to imagine that you are alone on a deserted island. To make the most of this remote destination, Cousine Island Seychelles Resort is the ideal place to stay. It offers several villas, each more luxurious than the last—I will let you imagine! You can even reserve the entire island, including all of its villas. Of course, that requires a very substantial budget, but it is possible.
Fregate Island
Fregate Island is another small private island where idyllic surroundings and a luxurious experience go hand in hand. It is located around 15 minutes from Mahé by helicopter. The five-star Fregate Island Private offers 17 villas with magnificent views of the Indian Ocean. Naturally, the villas are widely spaced, allowing guests to enjoy complete privacy alongside high-end amenities in an incredible setting. Fregate Island is also one of the most unspoiled islands in the archipelago. In short, a stay at Fregate Island Private is one of the most exclusive experiences available in the Seychelles. One word of warning: the hotel is currently under construction and is scheduled to reopen in 2025, so the reopening is not far away.

Denis Island
Denis Island is a small private island located only 30 minutes by plane from Mahé. From everything I have heard, it is well worth visiting. The Denis Private Island Resort is the ideal place to stay. Its villas and cottages all feature private gardens, terraces, spacious living rooms and comfortable bedrooms, allowing you to make the most of your vacation. As an added bonus, you can also spend some time relaxing at the on-site spa.
Bird Island
Bird Island in the Seychelles is a must-see destination for nature lovers. As its name suggests, you can observe more than 115 bird species endemic to the Seychelles archipelago, including the sooty tern, the Paille-en-Queue, the Martin and many others. You can stay at Bird Island Seychelles – Private Island Villas, which offers around 20 bungalows on the island’s west coast. The accommodation is simple but provides everything you need, including a dining area, air conditioning and more. In short, a few days on this island are ideal for travelers looking for an authentic stay close to nature.
Félicité Island
This small granite island is located only 4 km from La Digue. Here, you will find Six Senses Zil Pasyon, a superb luxury hotel offering an exclusive experience in an exceptional setting. Guests can choose from 30 spacious villas with private pools. As an added bonus, you can enjoy the hotel’s cliffside spa and water activities such as scuba diving, canoeing and fishing. One thing is certain: you will never notice the time passing.
That brings us to the end of this article on the best hotels in the Seychelles. As you have seen, there are some truly wonderful places to stay throughout the archipelago. Whatever you are looking for, you are sure to find an option that suits you. In my opinion, the hardest part will simply be making your choice.
