Hello! As promised, I’m back with my best tips and recommendations on where to stay on Praslin Island. Many of you have asked me this question, so to help you plan your vacation in Praslin, Seychelles, I decided to do my own research, drawing on recommendations from friends and acquaintances.
Praslin is the second-largest island in the Seychelles, after Mahé! It’s considered a little piece of tropical paradise. Picture gorgeous white-sand beaches stretching as far as the eye can see, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. And while you’re there, don’t miss the Vallée de Mai, where the famous cocos de mer grow! The Seychelles are a dream destination: turquoise waters, coral reefs and plenty of colorful fish to discover while diving. Not to mention a relaxed atmosphere with welcoming locals, a beautiful Creole culture and delicious food for food lovers, haha. In short, it’s a must during your stay!

Where to stay in Praslin: choosing the best areas and accommodations
Spending a few days in Praslin is a must during your trip to the Seychelles. To start with, head to Anse Lazio. It’s a world-famous beach! Situated on the north-west coast of Praslin Island, its granite rocks, turquoise waters and fine sand make it one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Pretty incredible, isn’t it? You won’t have much choice of accommodation in this peaceful and authentic area, so make sure you book well in advance to fully enjoy this natural paradise!
Next, let’s move on to a livelier spot on Praslin: Anse Volbert. This area is very popular. Why is it so popular? Mainly because it’s right next to a beautiful fine-sand beach. What’s more, you’ll find plenty of accommodation options here. From luxury hotels to budget options, there’s something for every taste and budget. Anse Volbert is a great choice if you want to be close to many excellent restaurants and enjoy water sports.
Next, head to the west of the island to Grand Anse! This is an unspoilt area with endless beaches stretching as far as the eye can see. You’ll also find plenty of accommodation here. Whether you’re looking for a luxurious seaside stay or a more authentic getaway, you’ll find it here. It’s also a quieter place, with fewer tourists, so you can fully enjoy the peace and quiet. As you’re probably starting to realize, this is exactly the kind of place I like: quieter, less touristy, and more unspoiled.
There are also several small islands around Praslin: Aride, Cousin and Curieuse, which offer a lovely way to enjoy a unique getaway off the beaten path! The good news is that these islands are easily accessible from Praslin.
Ultimately, where you stay on Praslin depends entirely on the type of experience you’re looking for. If you want to be at the heart of the island’s activity, choose Anse Volbert. For a more tranquil vacation in the heart of nature, you can choose between Grand Anse, Anse Lazio and the smaller islands around Praslin. I had to narrow things down, of course, because there are plenty of options! The first two were recommended to me by friends who know the area. They are clearly beautiful properties!
Constance Lemuria
This beautiful property offers a luxurious experience in an exceptional setting. It features a three-tiered swimming pool, a spa for unwinding and spacious suites with an authentic feel and high-end amenities. Some of the accommodation even has thatched roofs, which I think adds a lovely authentic touch! As for dining, the hotel offers tasty local and international dishes. This five-star hotel combines luxury, comfort and an idyllic setting with an authentic touch. It is easily one of the best luxury hotels in Praslin!
Hotel Le Duc de Praslin
This five-star hotel is located right on the white-sand beach of Côte d’Or. It enjoys a beautiful setting overlooking the Indian Ocean. It offers well-appointed luxury rooms, suites and apartments with air conditioning. The hotel’s two restaurants serve a range of Creole dishes. And that’s not all! There is also a hydrotherapy pool for treatments and relaxation. It’s enough to make you want to pamper yourself for a few days! Acajou Beach Resort

This four-star hotel is slightly less upscale than the properties above, although the services and facilities are still of a very high standard. Located in Anse Volbert, the hotel enjoys a beautiful setting. With its Creole-style rooms and spacious balconies, you can enjoy a relaxing tropical atmosphere. There’s plenty to choose from when it comes to activities! The hotel offers island tours, yoga classes, traditional dance shows and Creole cooking classes. There’s plenty to keep you entertained while discovering the local culture! What’s more, the location is ideal: 12 km from Praslin airport and very close to the Vallée de Mai. Pretty convenient, isn’t it?
