After looking at luxury hotels in Montreal, I now offer you 3‑star establishments that are all about comfort, with an excellent balance between quality and price. Honestly, if you’re looking for great hotels with a good balance between comfort, location, and budget, this section should interest you!
Hyatt Place Montreal - Downtown
We chose this hotel for our 6 days in Montreal and, frankly, we do not regret it at all. It is very well located, just steps away from Berri‑UQAM station, making it super convenient for exploring the city. From the moment we arrived, we were very warmly welcomed – which is always nice. We had a standard room with two large beds; everything was super clean, well-designed, and the highlight was the beautiful view of the city. And then the pool… The kids had a great time. On the 6th floor, which is heated and rather spacious, we went almost every night, haha.
Special mention goes to the breakfast: it was very good and complete. The added bonus in winter: you can take the metro without going outside. Given the cold, I can tell you that we were very happy. As you can imagine from these lines, we loved our stay and can only recommend it! Hampton Inn Montreal Downtown, Qc
Located very near the Old Port, the Quartier des Spectacles, and the Place‑d’Armes Metro, Hampton Inn Montreal Downtown is a great hotel for a comfortable vacation. To give you a bit more detail, this 3‑star hotel offers modern, well‑equipped rooms – some even have a kitchenette. With its prime location, you can easily do everything on foot. Moreover, although it is downtown, it still offers a peaceful setting (you’ll sleep well, haha). The added bonus: the buffet breakfast is included and much appreciated. Then, you also have access to an outdoor pool, a fitness room, and a rooftop terrace (great for enjoying the nice weather). In my opinion, Hampton is ideal for a successful stay in this Quebec city.
Hôtel Alt Montréal
This time, off to the Griffintown neighborhood! If you’re not familiar, it’s about a 15‑minute walk from the Old Port. This charming hotel offers modern design, a relaxed vibe, and a very convenient location. The rooms are well decorated and, above all, ultra‑comfortable. Not to mention the beautiful view of the city! In terms of amenities, you’ll have access to a snack bar, a fitness room, and an on‑site café. Hôtel Épik is an excellent option if you’re looking for an authentic experience. You will be accommodated in a historic building with exposed beams and stone walls, all in a warm atmosphere. To help you envision it, it’s a small hotel (without an elevator — you’ll just have to hold on for the stairs, haha) where you feel right at home, even after many hours of travel. I would say it’s one of the best feelings when traveling! The rooms offer great comfort, featuring a king‑size bed and an electric fireplace.
