Last February, we spent two weeks in Québec with the kids. Our trip took us through Mont-Tremblant, Montreal, and the Laurentians, and we loved every minute of it! We were surrounded by nature while still being close to everything, and we enjoyed plenty of activities in Mont-Tremblant and other must-see places in Québec. We had such a great time in Mont-Tremblant that we can only recommend adding it to your itinerary. A little anecdote: it snowed twice while we were there, so we felt very lucky. The kids were absolutely amazed!
As you have probably guessed, this article is designed to make finding accommodation in Mont-Tremblant easier. As always, my recommendations are based on our own experience there, along with feedback from friends who live in Québec.
In my opinion, Mont-Tremblant is one of Québec’s must-see destinations. It is worth visiting in every season: in winter, you can ski, enjoy snow activities, or simply take in the snowy setting. Summer is ideal for hiking, biking, and golf, while spring brings nature back to life and makes for pleasant walks. Then there is autumn, with all its beautiful colors.
Mont-Tremblant also has two very different sides: the lively, colorful village with its shops and restaurants, and the surrounding wilderness, with forests and beautiful viewpoints. That balance between nature, peace, and small-town charm is exactly what we love.
During our trip, we also chose to rent our winter clothes through Tuque & Bicycle Expériences, and it worked out really well. We share all the details in our dedicated article.
Why Choose Mont-Tremblant for Your Vacation?
Mont-Tremblant is one of Québec’s must-see destinations, and for good reason: it has something to offer in every season. In winter, you can ski, snowboard, or simply enjoy the snowy scenery. Summer is perfect for hiking, biking, and golf, while spring is a lovely time for walks as nature comes back to life. Autumn may be the highlight, with its brilliant fall colors.
There are also two distinct sides to Mont-Tremblant: the lively, colorful village with its shops and restaurants, and the surrounding wilderness, with forests and beautiful views. It is the kind of place that combines peace and quiet with the charm of a small village.

The Best Areas to Stay in Mont-Tremblant
Mont-Tremblant offers several very different settings, so the best area depends on whether you prefer peace and quiet, a lively atmosphere, or a balance of both:
- The Pedestrian Village: you will be right in the heart of the action, just a few steps from restaurants, shops, and ski lifts. It is extremely convenient because you can do almost everything on foot. This is a great choice if you enjoy being close to the resort’s liveliest spots.
- Forest Domain: this area offers a completely different atmosphere. Set higher up and surrounded by nature, it is peaceful while still remaining close to the village. You will also find accommodations with beautiful mountain views. It is a great compromise between convenience and a quieter setting.
- Sunny Slope: as the name suggests, this is the sunnier side of the resort. It sits farther from the village and feels more private and less crowded. Most accommodations here are upscale, and the casino is nearby. It is a good option for a more indulgent stay.
- Off-resort accommodations and nature chalets: for a true escape, you can stay outside the resort in a chalet surrounded by forest, beside a lake, or overlooking the mountains. It is hard not to dream about a setting like that!

That brings us to the end of this guide to hotels in Mont-Tremblant. I hope it makes planning your stay a little easier—that is the goal!
For a winter trip, I recommend snow tubing, a fun activity we really enjoyed as a family. If your travel dates are still flexible, you could also consider a helicopter flight over Mont-Tremblant. We found the experience magical, and the scenery changes completely with the seasons. Personally, I would choose winter or autumn, but the decision is yours!
