South - Playa Blanca : It's not for nothing that we start with this area; it's one of our favorites among all the others on the island. Here, the sun shines all year round, and that feels good, with mild temperatures. Plus, the atmosphere is more relaxed and laid-back; you feel good right away! And then, as the island is still small, even if you're in the center of the island, you feel isolated but not really. You can reach all the must-sees (within an hour at most for the furthest ones).
East - Costa Teguise & Arrecife : If you like to move around without making long trips every day, this area should please you. It is lively and convenient, with everything you need at your fingertips: local restaurants, accessible beaches, small shops, and more! For your information, this is often where you find the most affordable accommodations on the entire island, if that interests you.
Center/Southeast - Puerto del Carmen & Puerto Calero : We arrive at the most comprehensive area. Here, you will find beautiful beaches to swim in, nice places to go out in the evening, all in a pleasant atmosphere. Plus, it's almost at the center of the island, so you can easily do plenty of activities on the island without spending a lot of time in the car or transportation. On our side, we especially loved the swims because the water is calmer on this side, and it's much more enjoyable, even with kids.
